April 2011 Visa Bulletin Predictions - EB Category

Friday, March 04, 2011 | , , , ,

April 2011 Visa Bulletin will be out soon. Here is the prediction for April 2011 Visa Bulletin. We should see following movements in each category as long as USCIS/DOL would use visa numbers for each category as per statutory allocations.

Predictions
  • EB3- China could advance to 15 April 2004
  • EB3-Philippines could advance to 01 August 2005. (Correction : EB3 - Philippines would advance to 22 July 2005. At no point retrogressed country can have Priority Date beyond EB3- ROW)
  • EB3-Mexico could advance to 22 February 2004.
  • EB3-ROW could advance to 22 July 2005.
  • EB2 will be current for ROW, Mexico and Philippines.
  • EB3-India could advance to 01 April 2002.
  • EB2-India would not see any movement.
  • EB2-China could advance to 15 Jul 2006.

Lol ... not so soon... Predictions would be up usually around last week of each month. If you are EB3-ROW, 1st August 2005 will be 'Current' in next bulletin.

@Anonymous- - Feb'1'07,EB2I: will the date be current this year. Thank you.

It totally depends on three factors a) EB1 demand, b) EB2-ROW demand and EB3 to EB2 porting. Looking at current trend in porting you have 90% chance of being current this year. Hopefully released demand data is real indicator of porting. increase and decrease of EB2-I demand data exactly by 25 worries me.

What do you think about EB-3 Mexico October 2004?

Rav said...

For EB3-Mexico with PD October 2004, I think you would make it this year. It should happen in a month or two. I am little surprised that backlog shown in I-485 inventory is reduced so quickly. I wonder if they will use the yearly visa quota early and make it 'unavailable' for later fiscal year . If so, It totally depends on visa demand, which looks low so far. Good Luck.

@Anonymous-- What do you think about EB-3 Mexico October 2004?

Anonymous said...

Just an estimate.. How long do you think it would take for August 1st, 2007 to be current for eb3 for phillipines?

Rav said...

As per current I-485 inventory, EB3-P with PD 1st August 2007 will be current in July 2014.

Anonymous said...

Are you sure? where is it that you are looking? I'm sorry, I just thought it would be sooner than that.

Rav said...

There are at least 9390 EB3-P applicants with PD before July 2007. Annual yearly quota is 2800. So you can do the math. It will at least take 3.5 years from Jan 5 2011, before EB3-P individual with a PD 1st August 2007 will be current. This is without taking into out any cases from local offices and other CP cases which will be added as dates will move every month. Also we do not expect to receive any spillover to EB3-P. So as per current inventory best case is July 2014.

Anonymous said...

For EB-3 Philippines with priority date of Jan 1 2006,there's possibility to be current this fiscal year. thanks!

Anonymous said...

January 1st 2006 will be on borderline for EB3-P. You may or may not make it. Very close. If local offices will not add many cases, you would just be 'current'

You will not make it this year. But definitely you will make it next year around Feb-Mar 2012.

Hi! my Philippines EB3 Priority Date is September 08, 2008. When can I expect it to be current, what month and year? Thank you!

Rav said...

It is 2803 for each retrogressed country in their respective category. i.e For Eb3-P is 2803, EB3-I is 2803, EB3-M is 2803 and little less for EB3-C around 2,503.

For 'Rest of World' it is around 28,800.

Total making it to 40,040 for an annual year for EB3.

Similar distribution for EB1 and EB2. Remaining 19,880(9,940 per category) out of 1,40,000 is for EB4 and EB5.

What is the chance of a priority date of Sept 26,2005 to be current in the coming visa bulletin? Your prediction will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and more power.

Assuming you are EB3-ROW, Sept 26, 2005 will not be current in the coming bulletin. But chances are 100% in June visa bulletin

@CM
when do you think may 2008 priority date EB3 ROW will be current? 2011, 2012?

Rav said...

It will be current around Oct- Dec 2012. It can be current before that as well depending upon when EB3-ROW will pass July 2007; and USCIS would open gates for few months (or a year in case of ROW) to intake few applications to create enough buffer for year's inventory. I would predict more on optimistic side, about 1.5 years from now near Sep 2012. It also depends on other CP and local cases that will be added when dates will become current every month.

I expect you to be current by September 2011. :)

hi
what do you think about EB3 ROW PD february 15 2006

Rav said...

Latest PD date that was ever current for EB3-ROW is July 2007. So USCIS has good inventory on number of I-485s that are filed until PD July 2007. After that, dates were never current. So to wisely use annual visa numbers, USCIS would have to open gates for some I-485 applications to build their inventory again. I expect when dates will pas July 2007, USCIS may make dates current for EB3-ROW for folks with PDs about few month or even a year from July 2007 .

EB3 ROW PD Sep 2007 should be current around Oct- Dec 2012, a month later as soon as dates will reach July 2007. But again this is too early to guess anything. We will know more as and when USCIS will release it's quarterly I-485 inventory reports.

Anonymous said...

When will eb3 India march 2005 be current?

Rav said...

"WHILE EB3 OF SEPTEBER 2006 WILL BE CURRENT ON MARCH 2013" - Are you talking on EB3-Philippines?

EB3 PD OF APRIL 2007 WILL BE CURRENT ON 2012 OF SEPT is for EB3-ROW. EB3-Philippines is still retrogressed country and has more demand than EB3-ROW. Annual quota for EB3-P is 2800 visas whereas for EB3-ROW is 28,800. EB3- ROW has less demand and hence it's date will reach later PD early than EB3-P with higher demand.
